Hello, I’m Attorney Ched Jennings and I focus on Kentucky Workers Comp claims for injured workers.
I’d like to talk to you today about Kentucky workers compensation and the Corona Virus – COVID 19. Early in the Coronavirus epidemic Governor Beshear directed certain essential employees to receive workers comp benefits from day one of their quarantine period.
If you are under quarantine, you are entitled to receive those benefits even though you may not be sick.
This initially applied to first responders such as police, fire fighters, healthcare workers and EMS. During his April 9th (2020) press conference the Governor issued an executive order which directs the payment of workers compensation benefits for additional essential employees during quarantine period.
Now, in addition to the first responders, this specifically includes the following workers:
You’re now entitled the same benefits but this fight isn’t over yet. Rest assured that as an attorney and as an active member of the group working with our State Government officials, we are doing everything we can to assist those who have potentially exposed themselves to the COVID 19 virus.
These first responders and other essential workers are doing what they can do to keep us safe and healthy.
My colleagues and I want you to know that we have your back and are here for you.
We invite you to review the strong recommendations of former clients and the legal industry and contact the Jennings Law Offices or call (502) 583-3882 to learn more and get the right answers to your questions regarding the Corona Virus COVID 19 and Kentucky Workers Compensation.
